Give Mohammed the Respect He Deserves

Most religious historians view Islam as having been founded in 622 CE by Muhammad the Prophet (peace be upon him).* He lived from about 570 to 632 CE). The religion started in Mecca, when the angel Jibril (a.k.a. Jibreel; Gabriel in English) read the first revelation to Muhammad (thwh). (Mohammed and Muhammed (thwh) are alternative spellings for his name.) Islam is the youngest of the world's very large religions -- those with over 300 million members -- which include Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.

* Muslims traditionally acknowledge respect for Muhammad, Jesus and other prophets (peace be upon them) by adding this phrase or an abbreviation "(thwh)" after their names.

'Tis better to place "thwh" after the Profit Mohammed's name. That would, of course, mean "to hell with him", where, most likely, he already is. dcf

Someone should submit an article to us showing how Mohammed (thwh) was nothing more than a tool used by Satan to hide our savior Christ Jesus and the only path to salvation from millions of sinners.

Pakistan: Just Another Muslim Honor Killing

Honor killing, along with "vani" marriages (where a child is given away in marriage as part of a compensation deal by village courts), was made illegal in Pakistan in late 2004, becoming illegal in practice in early 2005. Despite this, the Pakistan Human Rights Commission states that at least 1,000 people, mainly young women, are murdered for not complying with social etiquette.

Today's (June 27) Pakistan Daily Times reports on another sad incident of honour killing, carried out by a 35-year old furniture polisher, Abid Hussain.

Hussain, an inhabitant of Zia Colony, located in Korangi in Karachi, Sindh province, had only reluctantly married his wife Afsheen about a year ago. He had been initially attracted to her, and had arranged the marriage through his family, but then hesitated when plans were set. He argued that his younger brother should marry Afsheen. His brother was abroad, but when he came back, he declined to marry her. Abid Hussain and Afsheen eventually tied the knot.

Their marriage was not happy, and a few weeks ago, she returned to her mother's house. It appears that the reason Hussain became suspicious of his wife, who had become pregnant, was because he trusted the words of a hakeem, a religious medicine man. Police state that this hakeem had said that Hussain was incapable of producing children, and he trusted a quack doctor rather than his wife.

So early this morning, he went to his wife, who was seven months' pregnant, and slit her throat, killing her and her unborn child. Last week, he had apparently verbally divorced her, by chanting "Talaq" three times.

After he killed Afsheen, the furniture-polisher went to a relative's home, and mentioned what he had done, and they called the police. Afsheen's brother Waqar registered a file report with the police, who are now awaiting autopsy reports. When the pregnancy is officially confirmed, they are likely to further charge Hussain with the murder of the child.

Poor Afsheen was never valued as a human being. She was a chattel. Hussain thought she could be given away in marriage to his brother, as if a marriage did not include the feelings of the wife. As we have stated, in Pakistan, where marriages are officially arranged, but often "forced", the views of the woman are rarely taken into consideration. And within such a cultural milieu, it is little wonder that honor killings occur so frequently.

Occupied Byzantium: Denigrating Dervishes Dance on Image of Christ, and the World Yawns

Ad image Russian and western media are ignoring how the Turkish Tourism Board is airing an advertisement where drug-entranced Muslim dervishes dance on an image of Christ taken from a destroyed church, reports Fontanka.ru, a web-based newspaper in St. Petersburg.

So far, the offending advertisement has been seen on St. Petersburg's Channel 22, Rambler NBN, and was most likely shown elsewhere in Russia and the world, but the Turks who paid for the advertisement cannot be reached.

Until the mid 15th century, the Muslim country now referred to as `Turkey' was the Christian Byzantine Empire, one of the most advanced civilizations in the world. After the Muslim conquest, most Christian inhabitants were slaughtered or forced to convert. Thousands of churches were destroyed or converted into mosques. The Turks then launched an invasion of Europe, occupying most of the Balkans for centuries, and carrying out similar destruction and carnage.

Even though Russia is primarily a Christian Orthodox country, no one objected to the offending advertisement, until finally an Armenian resident of St. Petersburg, Artak Aleksanyan, undertook his own investigation. He hired a lawyer at the prominent firm of Naryshkin and Associates, which made a number of inquiries that revealed the advertisement violates Russian law, specifically Article 152 of the Criminal Code, ``Protection of the Honor and Dignity of Citizens.'' The offending Muslims who made the advertisement can be brought up on criminal charges.

Still, neither the authorities, nor the broader republic has reacted with demonstrations and righteous anger.

History has shown that the Turks, as most other Muslim countries, are very adept at destroying and stealing things from the civilizations they've conquered. Bringing something positive into the world has never been a strong point for Muslims.

People who are educated in history and Islam will find this offending advertisement yet another reminder of the vast destruction that Islam has brought on civilizations throughout the Middle East, Persia, Central Asia, India, and Africa. (Before Islam, these regions used to be the most advanced in the world. After Islam came, it was all downhill.) This history should serve as a warning that our civilization is not immune to falling victim to Islamic invasion, destruction and savagery.

The reaction to the offending advertisement in St. Petersburg, more specifically the lack of one, should also serve as a reminder that Islam's success in conquest was primarily due to the passivity of the targeted population, and to a lack of will to fend off the invaders.

Overview:
There are two main texts consulted by Muslims:

the koran (Recitation) are the words of "god". Muslims believe that it was revealed to Mohammed (thwh) by the archangel Jibril (Gabriel). This was originally in oral and written form; they were later assembled together into a single book, the qu'ran. Its name is often spelled "Koran" in English. This is not recommended, as some Muslims find it offensive. [Editor's note: we'll spell it any damn way we please.]
The Hadith, which are collections of the sayings of Muhammad (thwh). They are regarded as the Sunnah (lived example) of Muhammad. The Quran gives legitimacy to the Hadith. It states: "Nor does he say aught of his own desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him" (53:3-4). However, the writings are not regarded as having the same status as the unholy koran; the latter is considered to be "god's" word. The islamic scholar Yahya bin Sharaf Ul-Deen An-Nawawi compiled a collection of 43 sayings of Prophet Mohammed. It is is now known as "Al-Nawawi's Forty Hadiths"

The main difference between islam and Christianity:

Islam is a religion in which Allah requires you to send your son to die for him. Christianity is a faith in which God sent his Son to die for you.

Cult Beliefs:

They believe in a single, indivisible Allah. (Allah, the creator, is just, omnipotent and merciful. "Allah" is often used to refer to god; it is the Arabic word for god.)
The supremacy of Allah's will.
They divine scriptures, which include the Torah, the Psalms, the rest of the Holy Bible, (as they were originally revealed) and the koran (which is composed of Allah's words, dictated by the "angel Gabriel" to Mohammed).
They believe Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Mohammed were messengers of Allah; Mohammed being the last prophet. Mohammed's message is considered superior to Jesus because islam's founder is believed to have brought Allah's final revelation.
They believe that Allah did not have a son.
They believe that Jesus was only a prophet, born of the virgin Mary. They reject the deity of Jesus; it is seen as a form of polytheism.
They believe Jesus was not executed on the cross, instead He escaped crucifixion and was taken up into Paradise.
The believe in the existence of Satan who drives people to sin. [Editor's note: Allah and Satan are one and the same.]
They believe Muslims who sincerely repent and submit to Allah return to a state of sinless perfection.
They believe all children are born on Al-Fitra (a pure, natural state of submission to islam). A person's parents sometimes make them Christian, Jewish, etc.
They believe when a child reaches puberty an account of their deeds is opened in Paradise. When the person dies, their eventual destination (Paradise or Hell) depends on the balance of their good deeds (helping others, testifying to the truth of Allah, leading a virtuous life) and their bad deeds.
They believe in a day of judgment when people will be judged on the basis of their deeds while on earth, and will either attain reward of Heaven or punishment in Hell. They do not believe that Jesus or any other individual can atone for another person's sin. Hell is where unbelievers and sinners spend eternity. One translation of the koran, 98:1-8, states: "The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans shall burn forever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures." ("People of the Book" refers to Christians, Jews and Muslims). Paradise is a place of physical and spiritual pleasure where the sinless go after death.
They believe alcohol, drugs, fornication, eating of pork, and gambling should be avoided; however, once in Paradise, Muslim men may drink as much alcohol as they can and have sex with an unlimited number of young virgins for eternity.
