A major problem with Obama is that there are as many different versions of Obama as there are leftist pundits and there are legions of them.

Another reason why Obamamania in engulfing this nation is because he is all things to all pundits. Even a cursory study on Mr. Obama's past will reveal his abnormal body of contradictions and even outright deception. It is a fact that over the years a clique of masses on the left have been heavily indoctrinated with selective teachings that promote anti-Americanism, a love for socialism, hostility toward capitalism and free enterprise.

This bombardment of indoctrination combined with a siege mentality that creates the cradle of socialism which generates a fury of hatred , has the potential of devouring America. If only the far left Useful Idiots could purge the negative aspects of their dogma and practice the positive teaching of diversity, our community would be at peace with one another. This is the question. Is that possible or are we headed for the clash beyond the ideas?

The raw material for ideas and beliefs reaches us through the senses. The brain takes the massive barrage of input and attempts to organize it and incorporate it in an orderly fashion, a monumental task that is taken for granted until something goes seriously wrong. Relatively minor glitches in the working of the mind, such as misunderstanding, misperception, and making poor decisions, occur daily and may not present serious problems. Over time, however, even these minor glitches in the mind, caused by faulty input, poor processing or both, can add up and significantly compromise its integrity.

To make matters worse, a vociferous clique of local leftists with a suicide wish are doing all they can to take the country with them to the grave they so earnestly seek.

The pundits, the analysts and the politicians who have supported Obama, are doing a great disservice to the public and America. Each segment, for its own expedient reasons, is parroting the mantra of distribution of the wealth. Thus, a new generation of “Useful Idiots,” the sort of people Lenin identified living in liberal democracies who furthered the work of communism, has arrived. This new generation of Useful Idiots also live in liberal democracies, but serve the cause of anti-Americanism—with its virulent ideology and some added spice of Islamofascism, mostly on university campuses.

Many universities in the U.S. are bastions and incubators of many Useful Idiots. Far left professors do more than teach their subjects of a specialty. They feel that they have license to pontificate on any and all matters. That is why they are called “professors.” These self-appointed prima donnas cover themselves with the shield of academic freedom. Academic freedom is like liberty—it can be abused often and abused greatly. That is the price of freedom. Yet, these abusers of freedom, the far left, will be among the first to be buried under the rubble of the free society’s collapse they work so doggedly to bring about.

On the other hand, the Muslim world is embracing Obama as their own, love our Useful Idiot politicians, and will happily ally with them, who then will gladly cede some of their power to this group of enforcers, so that conservative politicians and Christians who advocate self-defense and sane social policies are kept out of office. On university campuses, for example, extreme ideologies such as Islam will be portrayed as righteous and peaceful, while Christianity will be associated with evil Western and American values. What does the rebellious American youth do? They will eat it up.

Useful Idiots are naïve, they are foolish, they are ignorant of facts, they are unrealistically idealistic, they are dreamers and they are willfully in denial or deceptive. They hail from the ranks of the chronically unhappy. They are anarchists, they are aspiring revolutionaries, they are neurotics who are at war with life, the disaffected alienated from government, corporations, and just about any and all institutions of society.

The Useful Idiot can be a billionaire, a movie star, an academic of renown, a politician, or from any other segment of the population. Arguably, the most dangerous variant of the Useful Idiot is the “Politically Correct.” He is the master practitioner of euphemism, hedging, doubletalk, and outright deception.

The Useful Idiot derives satisfaction from being anti-establishment. He finds perverse gratification in aiding the forces that aim to dismantle an existing order, whatever it may be, an order he neither approves of nor feels he belongs to.

The Useful Idiot is conflicted and dishonest. He fails to look inside himself and discover the causes of his own problems and unhappiness while he readily enlists himself in causes that validate his distorted perception.

Understandably, it is easier to blame others and the outside world than to examine oneself with an eye to self-discovery and self-improvement. Furthermore, criticizing and complaining—liberal practices of the Useful Idiot—require little talent and energy. The Useful Idiot is a great armchair philosopher and “Monday Morning Quarterback.”

The Useful Idiot is not the same as a person who honestly has a different point of view. A society without honest and open differences of views is a dead society. Critical, different and fresh ideas are the lifeblood of a living society—the very anathema of autocracies where the official position is sacrosanct.

Even a “normal” person spends a great deal more energy aiming to fix things out there than working to overcome his own flaws and shortcomings, or contribute positively to the larger society. People don’t like to take stock of what they are doing or not doing that is responsible for the conditions of which they disapprove.

But the Useful Idiot takes things much farther. The Useful Idiot, among other things, is a master practitioner of scapegoating. He assigns blame to others while absolving himself of responsibility, has a long handy list of candidates for blaming anything and everything, and by living a distorted life, he contributes to the ills of society.

The Useful Idiot may even engage in willful misinformation and deception when it suits him. For example, terms such as “Political Islam,” or “Radical Islam,” for instance, are contributions of the Useful Idiot. These terms do not even exist in the native parlance of Islam, simply because they are redundant. Islam, by its very nature and according to its charter—the Quran—is a radical political movement.

If these suicidal, homicidal Useful Idiots make their way into the White House, the future historians will ask themselves: how the entire country could have seen this coming and done nothing about it. What kind of opiate were these people on?

A Wasted Vote

When asked why they will not vote for a third party candidate, many people will respond by saying something like, "He cannot win." Or, "I don't want to waste my vote." It is true: America has not elected a third party candidate since 1860. Does that automatically mean, however, that every vote cast for one of the two major party candidates is not a wasted vote? I don't think so.

In the first place, a wasted vote is a vote for someone you know does not represent your own beliefs and principles. A wasted vote is a vote for someone you know will not lead the country in the way it should go. A wasted vote is a vote for the "lesser of two evils." Or, in the case of John McCain and Barack Obama, what we have is a choice between the "evil of two lessers."

Albert Einstein is credited with saying that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result. For years now, Republicans and Democrats have been leading the country in the same basic direction: toward bigger and bigger government; more and more socialism, globalism, corporatism, and foreign interventionism; and the dismantling of constitutional liberties. Yet, voters continue to think that they are voting for "change" when they vote for a Republican or Democrat. This is truly insane!

Take a look at the recent $700,000,000,000 Wall Street bailout: both John McCain and Barack Obama endorsed and lobbied for it. Both McCain and Obama will continue to bail out these international banksters on the backs of the American taxpayers. Both McCain and Obama support giving illegal aliens amnesty and a path to citizenship. In the debate this past Tuesday night, both McCain and Obama expressed support for sending U.S. forces around the world for "peacekeeping" purposes. They also expressed support for sending combat forces against foreign countries even if those countries do not pose a threat to the United States. Neither Obama nor McCain will do anything to stem the tide of a burgeoning police state or a mushrooming New World Order. Both Obama and McCain support NAFTA and similar "free trade" deals. Neither candidate will do anything to rid America of the Federal Reserve, or work to eliminate the personal income tax, or disband the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Both Obama and McCain support the United Nations. So, pray tell, how is a vote for either McCain or Obama not a wasted vote?

But, back to the "he cannot win" argument: to vote for John McCain is to vote for a man who cannot win. Yes, I am saying it here and now: John McCain cannot win this election. The handwriting is on the wall. The Fat Lady is singing. It is all over. Finished. John McCain cannot win.

With only three weeks before the election, Barack Obama is pulling away. McCain has already pulled his campaign out of Michigan. In other key battleground states, McCain is slipping fast. He was ahead in Missouri; now it is a toss-up or leaning to Obama. A couple of weeks ago, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida were all leaning towards McCain, or at least toss-up states. Now, they are all leaning to Obama. Even the longtime GOP bellwether state of Indiana is moving toward Obama. In addition, new voter registrations are at an all-time high, and few of them are registering as Republicans. In fact, the Republican Party now claims only around 25% of the electorate, and Independents are increasingly leaning toward Obama.

Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama is headed for an electoral landslide victory over John McCain. John McCain can no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton.

I ask, therefore, Are not conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain guilty of the same thing that they accuse people who vote for third party candidates of doing? Are they not voting for someone who cannot win? Indeed, they are. In fact, conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain are not only voting for a man who cannot win, they are voting for a man who does not share their own beliefs and principles. If this is not insanity, nothing is!

So, why not (for once in your life, perhaps) cast a vote purely for principle! Vote for someone who is truly pro-life. Someone who would quickly secure our nation's borders, and end the invasion of our country by illegal aliens. Someone who would, on his first day in office, release Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean and fire U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton. Someone who would immediately, upon assuming office, begin leading the charge to dismantle the Federal Reserve, overturn the 16th Amendment, expunge the IRS, and return America to sound money principles. Someone who would get the US out of the UN. Someone who would stop spending billions and trillions of dollars for foreign aid. Someone who would prosecute the Wall Street bankers who defrauded the American people out of billions of dollars. Someone who would work to repeal NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, the WTO, and stop the NAFTA superhighway. Someone who would say a resounding "No" to the New World Order. Someone who would stop using our brave men and women in uniform as global cops for the United Nations. Someone who would stop America's global adventurism and interventionism. Someone who would steadfastly support and defend the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

Can America Afford Another Jimmy Carter?

The current presidential election is reminiscent of the presidency of Richard Nixon; one cannot help but be reminded of the Watergate Scandal, the biggest political scandal in American history. Watergate caused the American public to lose faith in the presidency and especially the Republican Party. As a result, in 1977 Democrats and some conservative Christian voters rushed to the polls to elect a virtually unknown political figure outside of Georgia and one of the most unqualified liberal presidents in the history of America, Mr. Jimmy Carter.

During the Watergate crisis, the American public's faith in the government had been severely tarnished and reduced to its lowest level and the work of many federal agencies had been disrupted by the Nixon impeachment fiasco.

Ironically, history seems to be repeating itself. Again, after 30 years or so, we are faced with a similar dilemma. By now, many Americans believe that President Bush's two terms in office have been a profound failure. For months, Bush's approval ratings have hovered around 30 and now at 24 percent, the same as President Nixon when he left office.

Once again, as a result of these approval ratings, the Democrats are tripping over each other to put another highly unqualified man, Senator Hussein Obama, in the White House. Ironically, with his past ties to racism, terrorism and hating America, America's survival remains at peril.

Currently, the foremost topic on the mind of the voter is the economic mess. Finger pointing goes in all directions without a clear understanding of who is to blame. Some goodhearted, naïve Americans again think that democrats can indeed be the answer. Unfortunately, their answer, most likely, will be disastrous and will lead America to the biggest quagmire in its entire history. We do well to recognize that shortsighted people with short memories are prone to make terrible choices, even when they have the best of intentions.

Therefore, we want to refresh the voters' memory and help them in making wise decisions. The vote you cast will not simply replace one politician with another. Today, every vote has great existential implications. The economic crisis aside, whether we like it or not, we are truly in a war of survival with Islamofascism and Mr. Obama is not the man who can defend this country.

Now, is all the above just fear-mongering and Democrat-bashing at election time? You are free to see it that way. Nevertheless, it is always more prudent to go with the facts than fiction. In order to understand Obama, we must first re-examine the preeminent presidential negotiator with the dictators and terrorists, Mr. Jimmy Carter.

Mr. Carter's history of promoting anti-American dictators is no secret. As Stephen Hayward noted in a column in Front Page, "among his complex motivations is his determination to override American foreign policy when it suits him." As he rotates from North Korea to Venezuela to Cuba from friendships with Hugo Chavez, Cindy Sheehan, Howard Dean, Michael Moore, and Kim Jung Il and many other controversial figuers, Mr. Carter appears to damage the credibility of the United States every time he opens his mouth.

Let us briefly outline the results of Jimmy Carter's misguided liberal policies. The Islamic Revolution in Iran, Soviet invasion of Afghanistan 1979, the takeover of the American embassy in Iran by the fanatic Muslims and holding of hostages, a failed rescue attempt of the hostages, serious fuel shortages in America, a return of the Panama Canal Zone to Panama, double-digit inflation, the birth of Osama bin Laden, the Iran-Iraq War, which cost lives of millions dead and wounded thousands, 9/11 attack, and yes, the present war on terrorism and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

When former President Carter took office in 1977, the Shah of Iran was a staunch ally of the United States, a mainstay in our standoff with the Soviet Union, thwarting the dream held since the time of the czars of pushing south toward the warm waters of the Persian Gulf.

Former president Carter's human rights deal, gave rise to one of the worst rights violators in history -- the Ayatollah Khomeini. Thanks to Jimmy and company, Khomeini's successors are preparing for nuclear war with Israel and the West. When President Carter threatening the use of military force, he was mocked by Khomeini with the response: "U.S. cannot do a damn thing."

Iran, being a great ally of the U.S. during the Cold War, constantly became a target for Soviet subversion and espionage. Just like the U.S. war on terror, few people were arrested in Iran and many were incarcerated, many who threatened its sovereignty and existence, mainly Marxists and Soviet agents and their collaborators.

This action did not appease our former peanut farmer, who, on taking office, declared that advancing "human rights" was among his highest priorities, with the Shah of Iran as his prime target. It is necessary to be reminded and never forgotten, that it was Jimmy Carter and the British Government that masterminded the Ayatollah Khomeini's rise to power in 1979 and are the sole reason for today's Islamic Terrorism around the world.

William H. Sullivan says that he recalls the U.S. national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski (a man also behind the rise of Barack Obama) "repeatedly assured Pahlavi that the U.S. backed him fully." However these reassurances would not amount to substantive action on the part of the United States." It seems as though it is 1979 all over again and the Democrats, blinded by Obama's evangelical speech from teleprompter, expect him to solve America's problem.

Americans, out of resentment, made a huge mistake in electing an inexperienced idealist, Jimmy Carter, simply because they were unhappy with the Nixon scandal and the Republican Party in general. That naïve decision lead us to where we are today. Mr. Carter's belief that every crisis can be resolved with diplomacy -- now permeates the Democratic Party. Unfortunately, Carter was wrong. There are times when evil must be openly confronted and defeated.

Jimmy Carter, the self-appointed touring ambassador of bad-mouthing America, must be rejoicing at the prospect of Mr. Obama's presidency. Mr. Obama holds the promise of not only carrying on the Carterian misguided policies, but also taking them to their very ruinous end. Most liberal Democrats live in a delusional reality based on denial.

History is about to repeat itself. While the ever-contrite ambassador of apology, Carter, cavorts with the officially designated terrorist Hamas, bestowing legitimacy on the thuggish Islamists, Mr. Obama is promising to outdo his idol Jimmy by engaging in negotiations or discussions with the president Ahmadinejad of the IRI, a sort of tête-à-tête of two heads of states to settle things amicably. Doesn't that sound lovely and a sure vote getter? But, I am troubled and I have serious concerns.

My fellow Americans, please ask yourself if disliking George W. Bush's policy is enough for you to repeat history again. Mr. Obama, in his meteoric rise to power and with a victory lap around Europe, found it expedient to throw his grandmother under the bus, so to speak. He readily discarded the Reverend Wright, the man he emulated and held as his revered spiritual mentor for 20 years.

Sen. Obama can neither deliver what he captiously preaches, nor can he be your savior. Our future and the future of our children and this country will rest in your hands.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Laws, originally evolving out of the New Deal legislation written in response to the great depression, once protected the American financial system. Starting in the 1990’s, in response to intense lobbying efforts by the financial industry, those laws were stripped away. The most important one was Glass Steagall which separated commercial banking from the type of investment work of a stockbroker. Glass Steagall was signed out of existence in 1999 by President Clinton and less than 10 years later the entire financial system is bankrupt. Another law, known as The Uptick rule, prevented companies from crashing due to large scale shorting of company stock. A company’s stock could not be sold short as long as it was in continuous decline. Short sellers had to wait for an uptick in the stock before shorting. The Uptick Rule ended in 2007 just about one year ago.

The end of the laws protecting the American public from unscrupulous speculators disguised as bankers caused changes in the way our banks do business. The banks decided that simple banking, that is loaning money at interest, was not profitable enough so they began investing in risk paper. This changed them from banks into something akin to casinos. Now that the gamble has finally failed these new casinos are asking the American taxpayer to pick up the tab for their greed and excess.

Now all this risk paper, known in the financial world as “the derivatives market” is collapsing. Derivatives are not stocks or bonds or anything else substantial. They are simply paper derived from other paper such as futures and options. Futures and options are exchange traded derivatives, but the largest group of derivatives is not even traded on the exchanges. These are called “counterparty derivatives” and consist of such things as collateralized debt obligations, mortgage backed securities, and credit default swaps. It is estimated that total derivative exposure of the financial system is between one quadrillion and one and a half quadrillion. A quadrillion is 1000 trillion. To put that in perspective, the entire GDP of all the world’s countries in 2007 was approximately 60 trillion. GDP is basically everything that is produced for sale. The American people are now being asked to shoulder the risk of the entire derivatives market and if they do, 700 billion will prove to be a drop in the bucket.

The rapid increase in the price of fuel during the last year is a good example of the destructive nature of the derivative market. Much of the price increase was due to speculation in futures especially by Goldman Sachs (Henry Paulson’s company) and Morgan Stanley. These companies, it is believed, are responsible for about 50% of the speculative price of oil. What that means is that every time we buy gas we subsidize the parasites who feed off us so they can continue their existence. We are now being asked to accept increased taxes to cover their losses.

Now that this mess has been created, what should be done to resolve it with the least amount of pain for the American People?

1. All failed and at risk financial companies, not just those we constantly read about, should be seized by the F.D.I.C. (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) and put into involuntary Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. The money people have on deposit would carry the same FDIC guarantee as before so there would be no need for panic. The Chapter 11 trustee would examine the assets of these institutions and all derivative paper should be discharged in bankruptcy. The American people should not accept one penny of risk for derivative paper. The real assets such as mortgages on residential real estate should be separated and foreclosure should be indefinitely frozen. The at risk mortgages, whether subprime or not, could be written down to the current value of the property and re-amortized for a payment the homeowner could afford. The mortgage could then be returned to the bank for service or referred to Fannie and Freddie if the bank did not survive Chapter 11.

2. The Federal Reserve Banks should be seized by Congress under Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. The FED banks could survive as Clearinghouse banks but the Federal Reserve that has robbed the American people for 100 years would cease to exist. The debt owed by the American people to the FED banks would be discharged in bankruptcy. Congress would take monetary policy from the FED and would simply stand in place of the FED through a monetary board. The FED credit computers would be transferred to Congress who would issue new credit (money) because under our present system 97% of all money originates as credit. This new credit would keep the system going and prevent collapse. It could all be done without interest and without debt. The backs of the international banking cartel would be broken forever and the American people through their elected representatives would control monetary policy i.e. money in circulation, interest rates, and credit availability.

3. Glass Steagall and the Uptick Rule should be returned. Speculation in the futures markets of essentials such as fuel, food, and medicine should be banned or at least have a punitive tax say 50% attached.

4. The Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Trustee would immediately move to seize any assets taken by the CEO’s and Boards of Directors from the bankrupt companies during the prescribed time period. No bankruptcy system would allow the CEO of the bankrupt company to keep hundreds of millions as in some of these cases. At the same time, the U.S. Attorney should be directed to examine the process for criminal sanctions where laws have been violated.

In conclusion, this plan would return our monetary system to the American People and ignite a new wave of prosperity and liberty. Every crisis presents opportunities if we only look for them. This is an opportunity for the American people to throw off the yoke of debt bondage that has enslaved them for 100 years and gain direct control of monetary policy through representatives answerable directly to them. No particular philosophy has been respected or spared in this plan. I am more interested in saving the system for the American people than I am in respecting anyone’s philosophy of money or government. This is intended to be a simple, easy to understand, explanation of our banking crisis with a Consitutional solution.

McDonald's Supports Queer Agenda

July 31, 2008 – The fast food chain McDonald’s is facing the loss of millions of dollars in business from pro-family consumers because of its support of the homosexual/transgender agenda.

“McDonald’s has partnered with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC),” said TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty. “It also gave this activist group a $20,000 grant to support its efforts to influence corporate America.

“When my son bounds out of kindergarten at his school, a typical request is to go to ‘Old McDonald’s.’ It’s not about the cuisine, the first question he asks when we get there is which toy are they giving away that day. Now, we are settling for a lemonade at another restaurant because, as our son says aloud every time a McDonald’s commercial airs on television or as we drive past one, – ‘McDonald’s is bad,’” said Lafferty.

McDonald’s own Vice President of Communications, Richard Ellis, has joined the NGLCC board of directors! According to Ellis, “I’m thrilled to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce team and ready to get to work. I share the NGLCC’s passion for business growth and development within the LGBT community and I look forward to playing a role in moving these important initiatives forward.”

The NGLCC web site describes its advocacy efforts to influence national legislation; to monitor how the government deals with homosexuals, bisexuals and transgendered individuals in the workplace.

The NGLCC is lobbying for passage of so-called hate crimes legislation, domestic partnership benefits, family leave policies and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

At the 2007 NGLCC National Dinner, a number of individuals were honored, including Robert Hanson, president of Levi Strauss North America. In June 2008, Hanson was the co-chair of the Out & Equal Workplace Advocates fundraising dinner in San Francisco.

“In 1992, Levi Strauss stopped donations to the Boy Scouts of America because of the Scouts policy of protecting boys from open homosexuals,” said Lafferty. “Levi Strauss is a major supporter of the homosexual agenda as evidenced by Hanson’s appearance at these events.”

“Levi Strauss has been an aggressive enemy of the Boy Scouts and not only stopped its donations to the Boy Scouts over its policy on homosexuals, but began to aggressively market its products to homosexuals in their magazines,” said Lafferty. In addition, it began funding such radical groups as the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which recruits confused children on school campuses!

Homosexual activist legislator Barney Frank (D-MA) is a strong supporter of the NGLCC’s political efforts in Washington D.C. According to Frank: “The NGLCC carries on this work by its formation of a ‘broad-based coalition, representative of the various interests of American LGBT owned and friendly businesses, professionals, and students of business to increase economic opportunities among membership, corporate interests and federal, state and local governments.’”

“Like Levi Strauss, McDonald’s has become an open and aggressive supporter of the homosexual agenda,” said Lafferty. “As such, it will no longer receive my business until it rejects the homosexual political agenda and returns to what it does best: selling Happy Meals and fun to America’s children.”

Bill Whitman, a spokesman for McDonald’s told the Washington Post recently that “Hatred has no place in our culture,” when asked about the American Family Association boycott of McDonald’s over its pro-homosexual policies. Whitman is saying that Christians who oppose the homosexual agenda are guilty of hate!

The homosexual invasion of corporate America is well-advanced and deeply entrenched among many huge businesses. The effort is designed to help fund homosexual legislative activities and to force corporations into setting up sensitivity training programs to require employees to affirm homosexual and now cross-dressing conduct among their co-workers.

This effort is being pushed not only by the NGLCC, but by the Human Rights Campaign and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. Employees who object to the homosexualization of the workplace often times find themselves being punished, demoted or fired for objecting to homosexuality or transgender political agendas.

“Hungry patrons should beware of how they spend their hard-earned dollars,” said Lafferty. “When buying a ‘Sad Meal’ from McDonald’s, they’re now helping fund the homosexual agenda. By purchasing a pair of jeans from Levi Strauss, they’re helping destroy the moral foundations of our society.”

Radical Leftists are Keeping Gasoline Prices High

Colorado Senator Ken Salazar, a Democrat, got pissy last week after broadcast journalist and political commentator, Rush Limbaugh, rightly pointed out that Salazar and other political hacks are preventing America from tapping our vast domestic resources and becoming energy independent, lowering gasoline prices, and creating new high paying jobs. Nor did he like it that Mr. Limbaugh pointed out that Salazar campaigns under the false flag of a moderate but once in office votes with the radical leftists like Reed, Palosi, Boxer, and Obama to keep America dependent on imported oil.

The United States has more oil deposits than the entire Middle East, but liberals don’t want the American people to know that. Just the shale oil in Colorado and parts of Utah that Salazar is keeping us from tapping is enough to make us oil independent and to drive prices down.

That vast supply of domestic oil doesn’t include the massive deposits in ANWAR, or off our East and West Coasts or the huge supply of oil in U.S. waters off the Gulf of Mexico. Nor does it include the even more massive deposits of oil in North and South Dakota and Montana. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) conservatively estimates just the Bakken Field reserves at 503 billion barrels.

While Pelosi flits around in a taxpayer supplied 757 that burns 150,000 gallons of fuel per round trip from D.C. to California with her family and friends and a crew of 16 to wait on them hand and foot and uses more fuel in a year than a small U.S. city, she, Salazar, Boxer, Reed, Obama and other radical leftists are blocking drilling our vast domestic supply of oil. Their answer to their subjects being stuck with $4.00 plus per gallon gasoline is to raise mandated Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ) standards.

But every study by reputable organizations and the government show that CAFÉ standards cause traffic deaths. A National Research Council report found that the standards implemented in the 1970s and 1980s "probably resulted in an additional 1,300 to 2,600 traffic fatalities in 1993. A Harvard Center for Risk Analysis study found that CAFE standards led to "2,200 to 3,900 additional fatalities to motorists per year. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's 2007 data show a correlation of about 250-500 fatalities per year per MPG.

So, since a Democrat controlled Congress imposed CAFÉ standards in 1975 they have killed more Americans than wars or terrorists have in that same period. Now, their answer to high gasoline prices and our dependence on imported oil is to kill even more Americans. Maybe they think that having fewer living Americans will decrease demand for oil. But probably not, since there is no evidence whatsoever that Salazar, Pelosi, Reed, Boxer or Obama has any understanding of the law of supply and demand.

We have plenty of oil. There are huge oil discoveries around the world on a regular basis. We also have more coal than anyone else in the world (about a 200 year supply) and abundant supplies of natural gas. All we need is the political will to replace the radical leftists who are standing in the way of harvesting those assets with politicians who put the good of the country and the people ahead of their radical political agenda.

There is no energy crisis. There is a political crisis. Radical political hacks are manipulating the supply of oil to advance their own agenda. We can drill our way out of this mess if we take care of the political problem.

Obama's Jimmy Carter Disaster

During the 1970s, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who had acceded to the monarchist governmental leadership role present throughout Iran's history, implemented economic, educational and social reforms. In 1978, in the midst of democratic reforms, the Shah and the Iranian people celebrated 2,500 years of Persian Monarchy. Thereafter, the Carter Administration, awkwardly wielding a contorted rhetoric of "human rights" thoughtlessly encouraged the overthrow of the Shah and thereby hastened the arrival of an exiled and obscure cleric Ayatollah Khomeini, and with him the Islamic Republic of Iran.

President Carter's misguided approach to raising human rights (catered to fundamentalists and communists) in the context of US-Iran relations, led to the Shah's fall. Iran then became a theocratic abyss, whose radical fundamentalists tolerated far more abuse and torture of political prisoners than the Shah ever had, and supported a stream of terrorist acts and causes. The individuals who comprise Iran's theocracy are now the world's, as well as the vast majority of the Iranian people's greatest enemies.

Now, Barack Obama has said that he is inclined to meet with the internationally controversial Iranian President at the right time after due preparation and advance work by US diplomats. Contrary to mainstream media views, the President of Iran is virtually powerless. Any candidate for the presidency of Iran must first be vetted by a hard-line group of 12 clerics who are controlled by the un-elected Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei. During the recent election for President of Iran the members of the Guardian Council disqualified over 98 percent of the candidates, including all female candidates and virtually every single reformist. Hence, although Iran has elections, these elections are simply fodder for the mainstream media, providing straw figures to distract foreign politicians like Barack Obama.

Many of Barack Obama's national security policies are sideways backward-looking and retreads from the Carter Administration. Obama supports direct negotiations with the Iranian theocracy, opposes support for pro-Democracy Iranian groups, and advocates open lines of relation with the most corrupt members of the regime. All this works to legitimize the dictatorship.

The signature moves of Obama are to be too noble for mere politics, but the team of foreign policy security advisers that his administration looks likely to field is the constellation of advisors and policy staff that will render him just another "high-toned liberal" doomed to failure. The Obama team is composed of a combination of the young and inexperienced, a retreads of the usual suspects, characteristic of the Carter and Clinton Administrations, lofted up from poorly grounded gray matter of liberal universities and think tanks. The team members may be united by with good intentions; but without appropriate grounding, they are likely on the road to disappointment and failure.

Among the few prominent figures are Zbigniew Brzezinski who was President Carter's National Security Advisor and a veteran of multiple failures in Iran; Lt. General Merrill McPeak, designer of untimely Air Force retrenchment and stillborn change during the Clinton Administration; Gregory Craig, aide to Ted Kennedy and an exuberantly creative Clinton partisan who defended his President at the impeachment; and Susan Rice, the black hole of talk and inaction.

President Bush has consistently reached out to Iranian people, a nation that Michael Rubin of the American Enterprise Institute dubbed the "most pro-American in the entire region, if not the world", and Thomas Friedman of the New York Times called "the ultimate red state.", while the un-elected anti-American government wields a miniscule 15-20% support.

Although we are unsure whether Obama merits to be judged by the company he keeps, his advisors appear to adhere only to the obvious immature foreign policy proffered by Jimmy Carter. In Iran, the Carter Administration helped bring down one of the United States' greatest allies and infiltrated modern terrorism. The lack of intellectual and moral clarity about global threats and how America and the freedom-seeking people of Iran and other Mideast nations should respond will make them incapable of acting on the crucial deeper game.

Illegal Immigration: White Noise and High Treason

The best first step in solving this nation’s illegal immigration catastrophe is to immediately deport the U.S. Congress. Tom Tancredo can, without delay, petition for refugee status and return. Teddy Kennedy can not reenter the country until after he pays three generations of inheritance taxes, completes the twelve steps...and loses 75 pounds. Harry Reid has to put his aluminum foil helmet back on and return to his mothership.

Did you ever notice that when the simplest thing becomes galactically incomprehensible...you are about to get screwed?

The Senate was, and will continue, trying to ram complicated and unenforceable legislation down the throats of an overwhelming majority of American citizens that just don’t want it. Any member of Congress who represents that the proposed legislation is enforceable is a liar...and knows it.

Can you imagine the government trying to administer this three-tiered legislation?

What should have been a simple matter turned into a nightmare...and for no reason other than incompetence and/or fraud.

And that is the story of America’s illegal immigration "debate". A simple matter turned into a sorry mess. But why?

As a very good friend of mine pondered, "What is it about the word "illegal" that these bleeding hearts don't understand? (No doubt that's what at the heart of the new politically correct term ‘undocumented’)."

And just so you don’t think that she bitches without a solution...she offered up this bit of cure:

Out of the same frustration felt by most law abiding American CITIZENS, she concludes:

The argument that our economy is in desperate need of illegal immigrants is self-serving and fallacious.

Official estimates tell us that there are 11 million "economically necessary" illegal immigrants in the US. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics also tells us that, as of March 2006, there are 7 million UNEMPLOYED legal Americans. And the US Administration for Children and Families tells us that, at the end of 2005, there were 1,047,143 adults on welfare. Maybe the US economy is not that dependent on 11 million illegals if we could get those on the dole to take the "jobs Americans won't do".

Illegal immigration is a pretty much of a no-brainer because it is ILLEGAL. I don’t see Congress fretting over what to do with tax cheats. I don’t see Congress fretting over what do about drunk driving. And I certainly didn’t see Congress fretting over what to do about Richard Nixon,

Yet, with 11 million illegal immigrants spitting in the face of the law, I do see Congress and the President fretting over what to do about illegality (or more correctly...fretting over losing a voting bloc).

This is nothing but white noise. In order to "submerge distracting, undesirable noises...a constant low level of (white) noise is generated and provided as a background sound."

And this is exactly what the confusion over the illegal immigration "controversy" is...white noise to submerge the facts and distract the public. By keeping the public confused long enough, the politicians and interest groups are intentionally defrauding the truth. In the confusion, they are seeking to build critical mass, circumvent reality and pass self-serving treasonous legislation.

This is similar to the old budget scam of proposing a 30% tax increase to achieve a 15% increase in the name "slashes to critical services". The confused public thinks it got away with a deal and the duplicitous politicians come out looking like heroes.

Just think what all of those Mexican flag-waving illegals will do if their "protest" tactics yield success in the current issue. Next it will be universal healthcare or, perhaps, making General Antonio López de Santa Anna's birthday a US national holiday. Or perhaps violating more laws and demanding amnesty...uh...I mean "guest status" again.

The most important dimension of any legal immigration debate is the question of how best to assimilate immigrants into the societal fabric of the host nation. And nowhere is this question being addressed in the fracas over illegal immigration. It’s just assumed that illegal immigrants will become good Americans serendipitously...even if they never care to speak English.

The deconstructionists are licking their chops at the thought of legally flooding this nation with law-breakers turned citizen to accelerate the balkanization of America. And the politicians are counting votes.

The direction of this mess became self-evident the second the media framed it as debate on "immigration". It has nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with "illegal" immigration.

And...masses of protesters in the streets have little to do with the question of legality. Some well documented "studies have concluded that at least a quarter of all adult men may have some feelings of sexual arousal in connection with children". If 32 million males took to the streets seeking a "rationalization" of the laws prohibiting pedophilia would Congress be compelled to "seek a compromise"?

The debate elevated itself to high treason when San Francisco Mayor "Newsom also signed a resolution sponsored by Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval, and passed unanimously by the Board of Supervisors, urging San Francisco law enforcement not to comply with criminal provisions of any new immigration bill." OK...so maybe Newsom is only obstructing justice.

This brings back memories of Lester Maddox and his axe handle defying US desegregation law. When that happened, Washington sent in federal troops. Would those same troops be sent into San Francisco should it similarly defy US law?

It’s time to: pull the plug on the political white noise machine; hold Congress accountable and enforce the law.

It’s not that complicated...despite what the naysayers claim. Illegal means exactly what it says. Throw them out and protect this country’s borders, national security and societal integrity.

Why McCain Should Not Be GOP Nominee

It is now clear: the liberal so-called ‘mainstream media’ is propelling John McCain to the Republican nomination.

And it is also clear that if McCain wins Florida tomorrow - a strong likelihood - the (pathetic) GOP Establishment will rush to McCain and embrace him as the inevitable nominee even before the February 5 Super Tuesday primaries.

In Florida the GOP Establishment there - Senator Mel Martinez and Governor Charlie Crist - have already endorsed McCain and pretty much guaranteed that McCain will win on Tuesday.

If and when he does win, the vanquished GOP candidates - Giuliani and Thompson - are soon to jump aboard the McCain bandwagon. And that will be followed by state party leaders all across the nation.

How sickening this spectacle is. What the GOP Establishment is doing is embracing someone totally out of step with the GOP voters. Just look at some recent events:

• McCain hired Juan Hernandez, the leading proponent of amnesty for illegal Mexicans living here in the US.

• On Meet The Press on Sunday McCain dodged the question from Tim Russert about whether or not, as President, he would sign his own McCain-Kennedy Immigration bill (which is, in fact, virtual amnesty for illegals). (He will give amnesty when in the Oval Office - especially with a Democratic Congress.)

• On Sunday in Florida, McCain promised there would be “more wars.” What a way to campaign! What a promise from a potential president! How about pledging to try to prevent more wars?

• He has already said that if it were up to him we’d stay in Iraq for “10,000 years.”

• He is unstable. He lies. He is a bad guy who, for a number of reasons, has the media eating out of his hand.

• He has a terrible anger problem; he is a spoiled, petulant, arrogant little man who has gotten away with his malfeasances for decades. (See Ted Sampley's excellent article at the US Veteran Dispatch.com)

• He is a Mad Bomber who wants to bomb all over the Middle East.

• Don’t be fooled by polls in January predicting what may or may not happen in November. The general election is a long, long way off.

• Campaigns are run to change polls. Someone may look ‘electable’ today but not be so in six months. Remember President Giuliani?

• The Democrats will have a field day with McCain: he’s a third term of Bush; he’s too old; he’s a Mad Bomber; he is unstable.

The Republican Party is about to compound the mistake they made in ‘begging’ GW Bush back in 1999 to run for President. He has been a total disaster for the country.

McCain will be even worse.

What Kind of Change?

Americans are restive, for good reason. Although most observers blame the war in Iraq for the unease abroad in the land the war is remote, except for those with loved ones fighting there. It's what's happening here at home, in the economy, in politics, and in the state of the nation's religious faith and morals that have our teeth on edge.

Most important of all is the feeling that the system is broken, that government no longer works, and that Americans are no longer in charge of their lives, or masters of their own destiny.

All of this has led to a demand for change - one that has been answered by some of the candidates for the Democratic and Republican candidates for their party's presidential nomination.

For the most part, the programs advocated by Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama and John Edwards, the leading candidates in the Democratic primaries, are right out of the socialist play book of Karl Marx - state control over of the economy and just about every other aspect of American life, from child rearing to health care and education. From Hillary's "it takes a village" to raise a child, to Edwards demand for a free college education for all, to Obama's half-baked and ill-defined demands for "change,"Karl Marx is the man behind the curtain pulling the strings.

In his book, "Liberal Fascism, The Secret History of The American Left From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning" (Doubleday) a mind boggling work of scholarship that ought to be required reading on every American campus Jonah Goldberg demolishes the canard so cherished by the Left that Fascism is a right wing movement instead of the spawn of Marxist socialism.

Writes Goldberg "... what we call liberalism - the refurbished edifice of American Progressivism - is in fact a descendant and manifestation of fascism.

In an exhaustive and compete history that traces the history of Italy's descent into national socialism and Benito Mussolini's political roots, Goldberg shows that in the years before he became Italy's dictator, Mussolini was one of the world's most famous and widely published socialists. As for Adolf Hitler, he notes the obvious fact that the Fuhrer, a socialist, headed the Nazi Party - the full title of which was the National Socialist German Worker's party.

He outlines the Mussolini's Fascist program announced in 1919. Among its proposals:

Bragged Mussolini in 1929 "The social legislation of Italy is the most advanced in the world: it rages from the law on the eight-hour day to compulsory insurance against tuberculosis."

Turning to Hitler's socialist agenda, he notes that "Broadly speaking, the left is the party of change..."

Democrat demands for universal health care and involvement in such issues as stem cell research echo the Nazi's involvement in medical matters who Goldberg notes were "always disprortionally supported by bureaucrats in the ' helping professions' - benefited from particularly eager accomplices in the health care industry. He quotes a section from the Reich Anticancer Committee's first annual report in 1933: "The year 1933 was a decisive one for the war against cancer: the national socialist revolution has created entirely new opportunities for sweeping measures in an area until now rather limited ... The energetic and unanimous engagement of the med9ical profession has shown new avenues have opened for the struggle against cancer in the new Germany."

Socialist measures and socialist domination of America's economic life are not the changes the American people have made it clear they want. They want our borders secured against illegal immigration, they want Congress's wild spending ways typified by the sleazy earmarking process stopped, they want the income tax system reformed and the IRS reined in, . they want to regain control of their local schools from the educrats and teacher's unions and they want prayer allowed in the schools and in civic events, they want the courts prevented from overruling laws unelected judges find personally or politically objectionable even though expressing the will of the people.

In short, they want to take America back from the noveau fascists who spurn religious faith and regard the American people as being incapable of managing their own lives and their own affairs.

Electing socialists, even those who masquerade as progressives seeking a better America won't help.

Praise The Lord And Pass The Ammunition

Lancaster, Pa. — The country’s largest third party, based on voter registration, the Constitution Party, points to recent shootings in Omaha, Nebraska and Arvada and Colorado Springs, Colorado and suggests Americans question the notion that more and stricter gun laws save lives.

New Life Church member Jeanne Assam protected the lives of members of her church Sunday by using a firearm.

“An armed civilian acting swiftly and deliberately saved the lives of perhaps as many as 100 people (USA Today) thereby stopping a madman who was on a murderous rampage”, said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer. “Instead of four dead bodies there would have been scores more if not for the fact that a law-abiding citizen ended the carnage by using a gun”, added Clymer.

“Just note the horrific consequences of having so-called ‘gun-free zones’ in light of the bloody scenes at Virginia Tech and the Omaha Mall. It should be apparent that guns in the hands of law-abiding people save lives,” Clymer noted.

The Constitution Party believes the media have downplayed the most important aspect of this tragic story.

News stories have focused on the past law enforcement experience of the woman who stopped the killer. Calling her a "security guard", reports made it appear Jeanne Assam was part of “an elite group with special abilities and opportunities most people lack; this could not be further from the truth. Able-bodied people of both genders across a wide spectrum of age have the capacity and should have the un-infringed, God-given right to defend innocent life”, Clymer said.

Reports mentioned she was "trained, licensed, and background-checked". That is true of millions of Americans with concealed weapons permits. The media spin suggested this heroic woman was not simply an armed citizen exercising basic 2nd amendment rights.

“Others interested in defending their lives against ever-increasing rampage shootings would do well to ignore the implication that they could never do what she did, that they should never dare to consider defending their lives and the lives of others,” Clymer added.

The Constitution Party encourages all Americans to look critically at the example of this tragedy that could have been worse, and note the effort to disarm Americans with more gun laws has not resulted in fewer shootings. “On the contrary, schools and other places where people are prevented from carrying self-defense weapons have become easy targets for gunmen. It’s time Americans stop and think about where all these shootings are taking place…certainly not at police stations or places where there would be armed resistance”, said Clymer.

The Constitution Party calls on all Americans to acknowledge that guns don’t kill people, criminals do…and in so doing stand up for the 2nd Amendment.
